Considering the Mail prides itself on being a local paper in touch with local issues, they fail to get the most simple facts correct.
Those who have read the article about last nights by-election will notice that apparently, Labour and the Conservatives are now neck and neck in the council chamber, when in fact that is wrong!
The Conservative party has 43 seats and Labour has 42, which still means we are the biggest party.
Just imagine how many other things they get wrong!!!

Facts Wrong!
Brandwood
Well last night was extremely disappointing!
I good campaign was fought by all, everywhere you went in Brandwood yesterday you saw someone doing something!
I spent virtually all day there from 5am till midnight when the result was declared, only having a 2 hour break to go Uni for a short lecture.
The count last night was very tense, especially for those in the corridor who didn't have a clue what was going on! But alas, it was not to be and Leddy won with a 335 majority.
Polling day was fought very heavily by all party's, not sure whether Labour did a dawn raid but we had a couple of complaints about Lib Dem leaflets going out at 3am!!!
I only have two complaints, and that is about the count. The first is about some idiot of a Labour student in the corridor, who was just playing the fool all night, and there really was no need! And the second is Labour's shameful walk out (started by Steve McCabe), when the BNP candidate gave his speech, after all, this is a democracy guys!
Well anyway, that's that and there is always another election :-)

New Website
Been a bit short of time to post anything, but I promise to post something as soon as I get settled into Uni!
However I thought I'd mention the fact that the Birmingham Conservatives website was relaunched over the summer and is quite a useful tool if you want to find out more about what the Party is doing in Birmingham and how to get in contact with Conservative Councillors and local campaigners, so heres the link:
www.birminghamconservatives.co.uk
Also there is a West Midlands Conservative Party website aswell at:
www.westmidlandsconservatives.com
Enjoy!

I'm Back!
Hello!
Well the exams are over, the results are in and I'm waiting to go to university. I now have only one week left of what has been a very long and stressful summer holiday!
I know I said I was only going away for the exam period but the summer has been quite busy, with my 18th birthday and also several holidays I've been on, so apologies. I know PoliticalHack spinned it to make it seem I ran away because of pressure from above due to the Iron Angle article, but I can assure you it wasn't, it was simply to do with my exams. Lets face it I spent so much time concentrating on the elections in May and on the Kingstanding forum my revision did take a battering!
So I'm back now, just let it take a few days to get the blog together!
